Questions and Answers. Meeting of legal experts from Belarus with the representatives of the Police Department in Vilnius, Lithuania (2012)

There’s really something to learn and from whom to learn. And this is encouraging. After all, we stand in the pace with our neighbors, which whom we solved common issues, coped with the same problems competed and often won…

It is assumed that the information will be usefull for our legal professionals, law enforcement officers, judges, legislators … as well as for subjects of law in the field of human rights of ordinary citizens and civil society activists.

The human rights activist, Aliaksiey Lapitsky:
– It should be noted that during meetings with every representative of law enforcement and judicial system in Lithuania it was obvious that all those responsible persons were fully aware of the importance and priority of international law in the area of civil rights and freedoms spelled out in the Constitution and the necessety of their execution in practice by all subjects of law in the country.

It seems that the positive experience of our neighbors, who in the way of legal transformation and building a legal state have made a norm the full implementation of international standards of law in national legislation and practice to become a good example of inspiration for change in our current reality.
