Kanstantsin Zhukouski, Homel

Kanstantsin Zhukouski, an activist from Homel detained by police in the evening of September 21 for unknown grounds, was taken to hospital in early hours of September 22.

As BelaPAN learnt from Alena Zhukouskyaya, activist’s wife, her husband phoned her at 11:30 and said he was on his way to the Homel region hospital to get medical care. The activist said his leg and head were injured. Hospital staff confirms that Zhukouski had been in hospital to receive aid. His wife was said in the Homel temporary detention centre in the morning that the activist was there and would soon be guarded to court.

We remind that he was walking down Knizhnaya Street close to his home at 6:15 pm on September 21. A car with at least five riot policemen was following him. The car suddenly stopped, riot policemen attacked Zhukouski, shut his mouth with hands and dragged to the car using physical force. The car drove away in unknown direction.
