Chairman of the Permanent Commission of the House of Representatives on education, culture, science and scientific progress, Mr. Uladzimer Zdanovich, responded to a question whether the parents of the students should provide a financial assistance to the schools, wrote newspaper “Zviazda”.

– Parents are not obliged to assist financially the schools, where their children study. Today there is no legislative act that would force them to transfer any funds to the schools’ accounts in Belarus. Parents can transfer money to the schools or provide other support only on their own. If the cases of compulsion are detected, then the head of the institution must bear the strictest responsibility. We have enough money to maintain the schools, and the extortion is unacceptable here. This is already a criminal responsibility.
