Sweden that currently presides at the European Union, has requested Minsk to stop the violence against peaceful demonstrators.

In its statement today, the Swedish presidency stressed that yesterday’s dispersal of peaceful action in memory of the missing opponents of Lukashenka’s regime causes a serious concern of the EU. That was reported by the European mass media with the reference to the agency The Associated Press (AP).

On behalf of the European Union, Sweden calls on the Belarusian authorities not to use force against participants of peaceful demonstrations, as well as to provide the independent journalists with working conditions in their country.
